Meet Dr. Vijay Sasi
Dr. Vijay Sasi is the President and CEO of ABECS Global, LLC. To become a veterinarian and to be an entrepreneur were his two adolescent dreams that fully materialized when he took charge of this company. He strategically combined his clinical and animal health industry experience to bring forth nutritional and nutraceutical formulations for today’s market.
Dr. Sasi earned his veterinary degree from Madras Veterinary College, India, and his Masters in Dairy Science from Utah State University. He is licensed in the state of Wisconsin, USA. He worked as a mixed practitioner in India and Wisconsin for more than 12 years . This experience has helped him to understand the practical difficulties faced by farmers & pet owners, and to develop innovative products to resolve their problems.
Right from middle school, Dr. Sasi had his own hobby farm in India where he raised cows, chicken, racing pigeons and fishes, in addition to his dogs. From his teens, he enjoyed making dog foods and mixing rations for his birds & cows, and later transformed that same passion into a profession. His interest in animal behavior helped him to connect with animals and understand their behavior in various conditions from wellness to stress. His love and understanding of animals has been a special gift, and now it is well invested in ABECS Global.
Dr. Sasi has a strong research background and excels in conducting palatability trials on products, stability tests of nutritional supplements, and designing field trials. He is knowledgeable in the regulatory compliance of nutritional supplements, including Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) and National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) guidelines. Dr. Sasi has also worked in the agricultural export market and is familiar with export regulations for nutritional supplements.
